Jamison / Bergin Family News

2002:

September 3rd:  Linda started homeschooling today; Claire is in 2nd grade and Alex is starting kindergarten.  Linda is also getting ready to lead Pioneer Clubs at church.  Genevieve is 6 months old and rolling over.

We adopted a cat from friends (the Holcombs) who moved to Africa.  Her name is Tickles and she came pre-loaded with three kittens.  The kittens were born in July, and are now very active and playful.  They are great entertainment for Genny who watches them and tries to talk to them.

August:  Alex had his tonsils & adenoids removed.

July:  We all went to NY for the Bergin family reunion at Andy’s house.

May 21st:  I’m up in Vancouver, BC for a week working at a client site.

February 25th:  Genevieve Janice Jamison born today at 10:57 – 7lbs, 11.6 oz, 19 ½” long

January 26th:  I finally got a cable modem.  Yay.  Sam is learning sign language.  His first word is ‘more’.

2001:

November 2nd:  We all survived Halloween.  Claire was Belle (Disney), Alex was a caterpillar and Sam was one of Santa’s Elves (thank you Carole for the outfit).  In October we all went to Orlando for a few days.  I had a conference (here is my presentation).  Jan and Cindy came down to spend time with Linda & the kids.  We all went to Disney parks and had fun at the hotel pools.

September 4th:  Claire & Linda started homeschooling today (1st grade).  We went to a Braves game on 8/31.  It rained out in the 7th; we got soaking wet but had a good time.  Linda is head of our church’s Pioneer Club group.  Clubs starts Wednesday 9/6.  Claire lost another tooth the end of August.  She left a note for the tooth fairy.

August 24th:  Soccer is starting next week for Claire and Alex.  We are in the West Gwinnett Soccer Club (WGSC).  See www.wgsc.net.  Linda is team mom for Alex’s team.  We also joined the Gwinnett Christian Home Educators (GCHE) – a county organization for homeschoolers.  I haven’t found a web site, but check out www.ghsc.net and http://www.gwinnett.public.lib.ga.us/homeschoolresources.htm.  And we are officially expecting our fourth child, sometime in mid-late February, 2002.

August 6th:  We went to see Thomas the Tank Engine in person at the Great Smoky Mountain Railway in Dillsboro, NC.  We also saw Santa at Santaland in Cherokee, NC.

June 23rd:  Claire will be a ‘shining star’ for the Prevent Blindness Light the Night for Sight walkathon.  Be there at John’s Creek.  Check out http://www.preventblindness.org/georgia/ga_event.html        for more information.  8/6:  there’s a picture of her and Linda.

May 24th:  Claire lost her 2nd tooth.

May 23rd:  Claire and Alex both moved up to the next age group in Pioneer Clubs.  For more on Pioneer Clubs, see http://www.pioneerclubs.org/.
