May 2007 update

Currently reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

Today I'm heading to my cousin's Eagle Scout court of honor.

And Tuesday is my son Alex's 10th birthday!

August update
Now Playing: Mae - The Everglow (emo); Looker (NYC post-punk)
A couple things:

This entry I am really hesitant to make. Maybe someone else has already noticed this: the terrorists have bombed New York, Madrid & London. That's "N", "M" and "L". If they hold to the pattern, a "K" city is next. Now I'm really hesitant to write this next part: Krakow, Poland? It would fit the terrorists' methods to hit a coalition partner, and Poland is a high profile one.

My prayer is that I'm wrong, or better, that smarter people than me have already thought of this and are watching Krakow like guardian angels.

A completely different note:
I found a great children's book, The Magic Water, by Vincente Segrelles. But I can only find it sold by two websites, both in Spain. I'm going to try to contact them and see if I can get it through them. I've never bought anything in Euros before.

Humbling Moments
It's very humbling to think you have an original idea, then go to the internet and look it up on Google only to find there are over 700 entries on the same idea. Sigh.

sporte update
OK - Braves are in the playoffs again (no big surprise). I'm glad we're facing Houston first. We should take then handily. Problem is going to be with St. Louis. I don't predict the Braves will make it to the World Series (again, no big surprise).

But the reason for the blog entry today:

A quote from Michael Vick, qtrbck for the Falcons, speaking after their win over Carolina sends Atlanta to 4-0 for the season: "We're a complete 360 degree turn from last year".

Hmmm. So, is that better, or worse? Good thing for Vick he's a pretty decent ball player.

I need to better arrange topics in my website. I need a personal taxonomy that organizes rather than obscures.
